First Grow need lighting help

Hello im going to try indoor growing for the first time the space is about 3x3 7ftH going to veg and flower in the same space for now going to use CFLs
Because of budget and grow in soil in containers prob only 2 -3 pants How much lighting do i need ? do i need the bigger 55 watt bulds or would the smaller 28s work of course ill need diffrent ones for veg blue spec and red for flowering maybe a few months into the grow ill try to get a 400 hps setup but im not not sure can i do the whole grow with CFLs?

GO for it!!! you want as much light as possible. go with the biggest cfl's you can find, you will also need to side light, because of the smaller wattage not having the penetration to light the lower branches...you should be able to grow adequately using these....blue spectrum is for veg and red for flower, although you won't have as good results, either will work for entire grow...check e-bay if you get a little extra money...I bought a 400w MH and a 250w hps for around $60 ea. awhile back...goodluck, latewood

You can do the whole grow with CFL's....

But the flower stage needs 2700K or so to produce the big buds.

Also, use the 55W or bigger bulbs.
