Keep the light from the seeds. Once the taproots show the light can kill the seed if they are exposed for long periods of time.

What about your grow box or the area where you are going to finish these seeds at?

I've made a germination box from ply-wood and the bottom of a lava-lamp (for heat). When the lava-lamp is pushed against the side of the box, there is minimal light and a fairly constant level of heat.
