I don't eat fast food. I used to, but not anymore... I eat mostly 'real' food now, & love it. My taste buds have changed (for the better), & I have much more energy & less mood swings. Now if I know I'll be in the car just running errands, I bring healthy snacks. For longer trips, I pack a lunch. It requires a couple more minutes in the morning, but it's totally worth it.

I believe that the chemicals, additives, sugar & other garbage in fast food have an addicting effect. When you finally force yourself to break free of it, you realize just how unappetizing it is.
