Man i use to live with my parents. But i hated it i got really depressed and then i tried to kill myself, more then once. THen i found weed. Then i got caught, got even more depressed, did a stupid idea but worked and said unless you let me live with my grandma im gonna kill myself. And here i am a year later, smoking weed happier then ever! I mean your situation is a lil diff, you probably have diff reasons for the things you dont like about your parents. BUt if i explained my whole life to you, youd understand! but yeah...thats a WHOLE nother story, so i guess stick with it or something, im stoned sorry!

i feel i'm being watched

my mom installed things on my computer to track where i go
she has the neibors ( yeah all the way across us ) watch me in my kitchen... that's nd of weird/ scary. I mean, say i'm naked... there watching me.

She also questions me about making sure not to smoke weed every time i go to one of my stoner friends... even though i hanv't toked in 6 months


i mean, i know my parents wants what is best by how she see's good familys on the brady bunch and stuff, but honestly... it's the year 2005 and things need to change. The most amount of alcahol my dads let me drink is a 1/4 of a cup of beer... WTF? I feel that i'm limited in life sometimes, but it doesn't really suck... it's just that i could more things without being hassled

well i was fourteen when my dad found my stash the first time,he's a smoker himself but still doesn't want his kid doing it at fourteen and i decided to agree with him wich was a good decision so i quit for a while and started tokeing again when i thought i was much more mature and could handle some situations that weed could get you in(ie getting arrested,getting caught in school(i haven't been in either))and now that i've shown i'm responceable and i'm not doing anything stupid to get myself caught he pretty much lets me smoke(i can smoke in my room with him home,and can smoke a joint out on the porch if i want to sit outside and smoke) i like to try other drugs but my all time love will be marijuana,i'll try coke,lsd,mushrooms,meth,salvia but in twenty years i'll be smokeing pot not doing lines.from what you said in your posts your smart and know that wether your family agrees with you or not they do love you and you know to show them respect i think of all the kid on this site you should be able smoke however much you want,by the way i'm 15 too(well kinda,i'll be 16 in two weeks but either way i'm no smarter at 16 than you are at 15)so outsted i agree with what you said but don't group all people into one clump because they are the same age,as a stoner you should know it's hard to get around the Stoner stereotype so imagine what it's like to get around the stoner and your just a kid and don't know anything stereotype,i agree some kids are too irresponsible and immature to smoke pot,but don't denie the right to the ones who are smarter with the drug than most adults

The people in the school district said if anything "bad" ever happaned again, i could be kicked out

well 4 more years of schooling, what could go wrong? lots of things lol

i try not to get into fights ( have never got in one ) ...

i'm still thinking, i really loved life with weed. It was the boost in life....

and all that about pot being addictive, it's really not. I quit for so long... and basically, i just miss it. I don't need it, i miss it though.

my brother's explained too me that she was brought up in a manner that she wants to give her kids choices. She wants us doing camps, doing special classes, so that one day... they can be useful. She thinks weed will eliminate choices... complete BS

I understand your feelings. But I dont and wont agree with the idea of its ok for minors to smoke during the controversey of legalizing marijuana. At the ages of 14, 15, 16, 17 kids are still growing, their brains are still developing, thats a fact which will be considered when determining the age limit if its legalized recreationally - and while I am well aware there are lots of kids who are more developed emotionally/mentally than others, I see the legalization of marijuana being for adults (18+, possibly 21+), cuz who is going to determine who is an emotionally developed child/teenager and whose not? Thats too complicated and only makes the process of legalization stagnant. Frankly, I think minors who are openly smoking weed really hurts the legalization process, so as an adult I won't see your side of the argument since I know you will be an adult one day and you could legally smoke then if made legal, instead of lessening the chances of it being legalized because you choose to smoke now. And while Im sure its not intentional, as an adult I see the choice of minors smoking as pretty selfish.

That said, I did start smoking at 16. But now that Im older I know that as far as the cause for legalization goes, I didn't help anything by choosing to smoke while being a minor. If I had the capabilities of looking at the big picture instead at my own immediate wants and desires I would not have smoked. As they say hindsight is 20/20. Im probably considered a hypocrite for condemning children smoking when I myself was a child when I started, however I can only say that I have much more clarity now about what its going to take to get marijuana legalized, and I'd much rather be a hypocrite to get the herb legalized, then to condone minors smoking while ignoring the fact that condoning it will just give more fuel to anti-marijuana groups. Im not going to do that. Its the big picture Im looking at, and I hope you can understand that.

Im not going to get all up on anyone's case about being a minor and smoking, but I wont condone it.

Once its legal, then I'll possibly be more accepting of the idea of lowering the age limit because I do believe the plant is generally pretty harmless, but its going to take lots of studies, research, and education before the public will be willing to accept that as fact. It may not even be a fact for all we know. But anyway, right now I am not accepting of the idea of minors smoking, not a chance I will be either as things are right now. I really do hope you can respect that, and maybe possibly absorb some of the things Ive said and determine what part you want to play in the legalization process.

EDIT: Everywhere I say "choosing to smoke" or "minors smoking" put "Openly" in there. I really dont care if they smoke, its when they make it known to the world and it becomes the talk of the neighborhood/community that I find lessens the chances of bud getting legalized. Just be smarter smokers until you're not a minor, the world doesn't need to know your bud-ness.
