The stems and shit like that just puncture your screens and produce no hash. When making hash...from what I gather...you want the trichomes off of the leaves,(thats the resin glands) and when they break free from the leaves, they gather into a sticky residue, that is the hash. Im not 100% sure about ALL of my info, but I should be very close because I posted a couple threads on hash making and got some pretty good answers.
