Terrorist suspect shot dead on London tube

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4706787.stm

Messed up shit! We're definitely feeling the blow from this war now.

What I don't get is why the officers bundled the guy to the ground and THEN shot him after. Why not arrest him and find links, etc?

I suppose they could have waited for ol' boy to detonate the explosives first. Wouldn't want to infringe on his rights! BANG, BANG and another terrorist gone!

Apparently it was a number of officers that piled on top of him.

    Your probably right anyway.

I wonder when America will start paying for the war.

    Howdy BB,

Tsk..tsk..you should be ashamed of asking when will America start paying for the war..if yer talkin about money,no one has out-spent the US,if yer talking about blood,we started with over 3000 folks, from countries all around the world,on 9/11/01,and we've been paying in blood since and we will continue to pay in blood..until your country is safe..but when you have idiots like the mayor of London, who gives out peace awards to those who clamor for the deaths of British citizens..yer kinda taking 2 steps back. When the BBC,uses only 3 minutes of air time,to report yesterday's incident..yer takin 2 steps back. Do ya see my point ? You're gonna have to start taking the threat of terrorism more seriously..and start calling terrorists..terrorists,instead of freedom fighters and bombers.

Congratulations..you've just managed to piss on the graves of every American soldier, who has died in order to protect your country..are ya proud of yerself ?

    Have a good one....

im going to go with psycho on this one.

BUT it does set a disturbing precedent. it's the same thing going on iraq now.
see some kid by a checkpoint playing ball, BANG. "whoops...i thought he was an insurgent...all in the name of freedom...no harm done"

I don't know of a beter solution other than to fix the problem. by leaving iraq.

yeh, considering the fear being hyped up. "it's not a matter of if...but when"

what the fuck is that? instead of solving everything, people are just sitting back waiting for the explosions like christians eager for the rapture. i fear the end is near.

Uh-oh, Torog put me in my place.
Sorry man, that was harsh, talking about when you guys are gonna start paying. For once, I think your 100% right. I let my frustration get the better of me again. Sorry about that!

Just so you know, we have a BBC news network (much like your CNN) that has been airing information on the incident since it happened. I don't know anything about the mayor of London though, care to source?

I believe this country should start taking terrorism more seriously, now that it is finally an issue. Do you care to remember that before the tube bombings a couple weeks ago, Britain hadn't suffered any kind of serious terrorist attack in relation to the war in Iraq.

I still believe (as a report recently confirmed) that we wouldn't be getting these attacks had we not agreed to help the US with it's dirty work, but following what's happened, I believe thats beside the issue.
The problem is we're a very small country with a very small capital. An easy target for the extremists (which it now turns out there is no shortage of on our homeland, however the fuck that happened). I think, in the long run, we may come to suffer at the hands of this war a lot more then you guys.

Apologies again. Have a good one yourself!

My sentiments exactly, but here lies the dilemma. In this ridiculous world where preserving face takes priority over all, our leaders would much rather continue the bloodshed in the veign hope everything will blossom into roses once the last bomb falls.

Stupid fucks. Pull out the troops (Iraq has it's government) and I guarantee the dust will settle, if at least for a little while.
