You'll never know if you don't, and you will definately will know if you do -- though you may not like knowing.

Fish or cut bait. Better to bummed for a few days than waste half a year and then be bummed. I think most peopole know if they are willing to go for it shortly after they meet someone -- the longer you are friends, the more she will think of you as a friend.
