Buddhism and weed
So I've heard here and there that some ancient buddhists incorporated cannabis into their practices and believed it was beneficial to achieveing enlightenment (and who knows, maybe it is) . I was just wondering if anybody has some more information about this, like history, or website links, if any buddhists still use weed in their spiritual practices today?
btw, anybody else use it for any such deeper thought or spirituality?mrdevious Reviewed by mrdevious on . Indians use marijuana to enlighten themselves, and also to gain spiritual guidence. thats why they pass a peace pipe.

were you referring to East Indians, or Native Americans? I've only heard of natives using a "peace pipe" so I'm not sure which you mean.
