I don't think many religions actually condemn weed, at least originally they didn't. For example, in Morocco hash is traditionally the preferred alternative to alcohol which is condemned in the Qur'an. The Bible doesn't really say anything specific about whether weed is a sin or not, but we see Jesus turning water into wine so clearly the idea of intoxicating chemicals is not incompatible with Christianity. Eastern religions, well, they're not really so concerned with calling things "sins" like the monotheistic religions. Many Native American beliefs make use mind-altering chemicals religiously, such as peyote among the Navajos and psilocybin mushrooms among the ancient Aztecs.
And of course, my own atheism has no problems with my pot habit at all.

It seems that people who are religious are very responsible. No matter if they are good or bad people. People who put on religion to mask themselves seems to try to show their righteousness more than the true believer.
Lots of religious people also believe in spirts and respected the mother nature. I think we are losing our old way of life really quickly. I wonder if people can be substainable if food producing land has problem distrubuting how are we who have no idea how to grow things expect to feed ourselves. I think the world is goning crazy. Support your local farmers. May be they might be our life line for food.

I'm not sure...
didn't the indians smoke a lot of weed?OR do a lot of shrooms?
And what about wiccans/pagans(not offense for anyone here, i have nothing againest them, i used to be one) I was just wondering because I know a couple of wiccans who used to smoke herb because of mother nature and such...Correct me by all means if I'm wrong, none of this is based on facts, just on here say,So......
Well...personally, i'm not one for religion, but I do believe in God, or higher power. And I believe that there is a reason for everything on this earth that is put to good use......but thats just me...
And what better use is weed, other then smoking it?:!

In my opinion religion was created as a means to control. Same goes with the negativity associated with drugs such as weed, mushrooms etc (Keeping in mind the main outlets of the drug propaganda are the government and the church).
