Funny intervention story.
Most interventions take place because of serious drug abuse, not little shit. My buddy's parents decided to do an intervention because of fucking WEED! I wasn't there for it, but if I had been, I'd have busted a gut laughing at them. I don't agree with interventions, especially when it's over a non event. Nothing much happened, just threats of rehab. Over weed. Good thing no one tried that bullshit with me.

You've got to take into account the fact that his parents have probably been listening to what the government has been telling them, which is pretty much that marijuana is the biggest drug danger to our society (even worse than crack and heroin I guess) and anyone who does it is doomed to suffer from physical and psychological problems so severe not even people dying of cancer who need it as medicine should be legally allowed to take the risk. In the eyes of someone who has not experienced it before and has absorbed all the government propaganda, it can seem pretty scary especially when your kid is doing it. But if he can demonstrate that he can continue to live responsibly while smoking pot and can show his parents some real information on its health effects, he should be all right.

His dad was a former pothead. It's hypocritical to act like that to your kid.

I've seen those same commericals, "Freevibe", "Truth", and I think they're bullshit. Full of lies from the Menace. Since I haven't defined this yet for people, I define it as anyone who can fuck you over, (Police, any kind of government swine, and other people, including most parents). I live on my own, so I don't worry about people finding out. If they do, fuck them. If I ever had kids, I wouldn't fill their heads with Menace shit. Fuck, I'd probably smoke with them.
