If it's that confusing then just don't do it.

This is supposed to be fun and stressing like that is not fun. They are all just different techniques of growing. Not everyone can stress grow or even crop plants. LST is one thing but only if you need to keep them low or is the light can't penetrate to the lower parts of the plant.

They are all just techniques. Each one has a positive and a negative side. You the grower are responsible to know the difference and apply the correct technique to achieve your projected outcome. Get some experience before you mess around with different techniques of cultivation. First time around only mess with one or two plants to learn and compare to your control crop for overall yield, quality, ease of growth and time to grow.
