What happens when you die?

I don't know near enough about everything to start making guesses at where I'm going to go after I die. It seems like I have two options:

1. Go with stuff someone else said because it made sense to them.
2. Make shit up and believe that because it makes sense to me.

I don't think I have enough confidence in other people for number one and I certainly don't have enough confidence in myself for number two. In the meantime, I'll just accept that I'm alive, and try and not think too hard about why, as I can't imagine I'll know until I die, and even then I might not. ((-wink~!-))

It's once for a man to be born, once to die and then the judgement. I believe that Jesus is the Christ and the son of the living God. That, because of my sin, I can't go to heaven on my own. That there has always had to be a sacrifice to be made clean again. That Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice when he died for me. That he rose from the dead and over 500 people saw him. That he went back to heaven. That if I accept him as my sacrifice and the master, or boss, of my life that there no longer needs to be any more sacrifice for my sin and that I get to go to heaven. I believe that his sacrifice is bigger than any sin. I believe that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. I believe what the Bible says and I think a great place to look into it is by reading the all time best selling book "the purpose driven life" by Pastor Rick Warren.

you know when you dream, you're pseudo aware of that. and you remember that when you wake up. but i'm talking about the part of sleep that you just dont remember at all.

maybe you should rephrase, sleeping indicates life (dreaming indicates sleeping wiht in turn indicates unconsciencness) if you are in a black nothingness, there is nothing.... therefore you are not there.....and inturn would mean you go no where when you die

Well, if near-death experiences are anything to go by, it seems that as our brains run out of oxygen we experience vivid hallucinations (which many have taken as the first glimpses of the afterlife), not unlike those hallucinations of people like military pilots who undergo high G-forces that drain the blood from their brains to their extremities. But after that, my guess is that all experience ends forever.

Everything they ever told us was a lie. In English schools, American schools, it was all a lie, Canadian schools, we can't forget them. Mexico, Puerto Rico, Las Vegas. We don't live here from before, we are the only ones, the first one who died in your life, was the first generation. They all lied, there is no such thing as family tradition, or Einstein, it's all a joke, everyone here is there own story, nothing is true, only one knows it all and he's running this game where we all find answers and dispute them.
