Note on WHORE....

The fan leaves and the single bladed leaves are turning crispy and dry and brown....While the inside flowers are drawing all the goodies out of the cover leaves at an accelerated rate now.

Since I cut a lot of the leaves, the plant has kicked into survival rather than thrival mode. Hence the rapid death of the fan leaves as opposed to gradual death.

It is theorizied that once a plant has fully developed and matures her flower positions, this can be done to increase resin and hence THC production will rapidly accelerate in a few days after entering survival mode.

This will shorthen the grow by about a week...but I am banking on it producing a stronger high.

I prefer the quality over quantity.

WHile this can be done also by finalinzing flower time in light to 10 hours a day, this method will eliminate all potential "harshness" of the smoke itself. And since my heat was so high, I have the potential for some harsh smoke.

And finally, it will force the trichs to swell larger on the flower pods and pistels themselves as opposed to forming also on the leafy part of the weed. much of which would have been cut anyhow.

I just hope I didnt over do it and create a total power system failure...in that case my bud will be done in a week....which would be a total of 7 weeks as opposed to 9.

I might lose a few grams if that happens....but I dont think it will...

What's this 10hrs on 14hrs off buisness I keep hearing about? Can you explain it to me, what's its beneifts?

I can share with you what I know....

You can finish a grow in an expeditied manner...ie...force the maturation of the flower, hence makeing THC production rise...by taking the flower period to 10 hours of light instead of 12.

THC is produced in the MJ plant in dark and diminishes in the light. Thats is why, when you do harvest, always do it within the first hour of light or in their dark cycle.

The added darkness (14 hours) will allow the plant or rather forcr the plant to start the final act of survival...spewing resin.

The down side...or flip side....is you lose flower growth time, thus yield.

Or in a situation where you need to harvest early, for what ever reason, cutting them to 10/14 will finish the grow for you early.

Many growers keep the plants in total darkness for 48 hours before harvesting to force resin production.

This is how Whore and Cunt will meet their fate.

On WHORE, she continues her rapid crisping of the fan leaves...a bit more rapid than I would like to see. I have moved her down further from the light but I think she is having more problems respirating than I had hoped.

But, I still think all will be well......resin is drizzling on her now...

Hey, Hardon, I see you are monitoring this thread. I know the answer to this question, but I wanted to see what you or Zandor had to say...I started a thread a while ago and I don't know, maybe it was too vague...I have 11 females 5dwc/6soil
they are all doing great, but this afternoon and overnight, I found a tiny pinhead seed.
I touched it and it wiped right off on my finger...This is the smallest plant I have, stunted somehow, but budding/pistils delicate, but look good..Should I cull it, seperate it, or watch it for a couple more days...I have an awesome Indica w/ the hairiest buds I've ever seen and I don't want to hermie it, or the other 9 sativa...what do you think..
