... no, car chases are dangerous, this is why many states have rules about when a cop can actually engauge in pursuit. A police officer can elevate a situation just as much as a criminal. Like I said, I think drinking and driving is horrible. I don't drink myself, and spend my weekends at school carting friends aquiantances and often strangers too and from parties, wawa, homes, appartments etc. In other words, I have no life on weekends so I can keep people from drinking and driving. It costs me money in gas, time, and I have to clean up vomit in cars etc. It's worth it to me, to keep drunks off the road. On the other hand if I swerve to dodge a drunk driver and hit a pedestrian its MY FAULT. I wasn't in proper control of the vehicle, and I didn't have a full awareness of the situation I was in. I wouldn't expect the drunk driver to pick up manslaughter because I hit the pedestrian. Likewise I don't feel this guy should pick up manslaughtor for one cop hitting another cop.

Holy Shit, and he's never been in trouble before? When he fucks up, he really fucks up!!! Well, the only thing you can do is be there for him and write/visit him. I'm sure he is going to have a lot of haters or people that are going to forget about him. Sometimes, it's great how life gives you a second chance. Hopefully, he'll learn from all this and when he is out, maybe he can educate others who are drinking and driving.

I did read the entire first post, I was just 'high' past the point of brain obliteration and didn't get the proper jist of it. Ha, man I feel like SUCH a jackass, honest.

It really pissed me off that no one really cared that this kid's best friend died in a car accident with a police car. I thought that his friends "punishment" was death. So the "don't do the crime if you can't do the time" just blew me outta the water. I thought "He may have crashed into a cop but that doesn't mean he should have died! Even if he was drunk driving like a moron!" How oddly I read into everything. I'm not even sure how I made all the assumptions I did now that I've read everything back over. I read a well written article and all the facts entered my brain as a total jumbled mess.

I promise never to post in a serious thread again with my mind in la la land.
