The situation was this: the feller who posted this story,said that his friend was driving with an open container of alcohol and a cop spotted him and tried to pull him over,but the punk freaked out and chose to run,rather than surrender to the cop and be a man about it. Because he chose to flee,instead of pulling over,in the resulting high-speed pursuit of his punk ass,one cop crashed into another and died as a result.

The original post,was improperly titled and led you to believe,that the poster's friend died,not the cop..rather than lamenting the loss of the cop,the poster was lamenting the fact that his friend would have to do jail time and that he wouldn't ever see him again,which I find to be almost as inexcusable as the actions of his friend.

When it comes to drinking and driving,I have no empathy for the drunk..and neither should you or anyone else.

I've also noticed,that some of the posters who replied to this thread,seem to have a basic disconnect in their brains,when it comes to personal accountability..a sure sign of a liberal mind-set..both the driver and his girlfriend,are responsible for this mess,because they chose to git behind the wheel of a car and drive while drinking..but for their choice..a young officer would still be alive. The cop has to follow department policy and if that policy is to stop those who commit a crime and then subsequently flee an arresting officer..then the cop was following orders from his superiors.

Rather than placing the blame on the punk who got the officer killed,some of y'all want to shift the blame to the cop,because he was following orders and chose to pursue the punk,who was putting everyone on the streets at risk..that's pretty daggum sad..and is a classic example of how the liberal mind-set works.

-laauughs- Hydrizzle, I was referring to torog, and I was blatantly making fun of him for it, as we both know he didn't say those things in a retarded manner, not that that makes it less retarded. ((ha, a joke a joke. I apologize, I can't keep my poor sense of humor to myself)) Anyway, I wouldn't have said ANY of that ((because he apologized for it SO fucking well, no lie. I respected torog a great deal for openly apologizing like that.)) if I thought he wasn't just saying "get over your friends death. it was his fault he was drinking and driving." I see now that he clearly wasn't saying that. Very clearly wasn't. I was wrong, he was right, I even 'kind of' agree with him, but I've made too much of a fool of myself in this thread to even try and express a legitimate view on the issue.

The words.. they entered my brain in all the wrong order or something. I take full responsibility, and again, feel like a total jackass for it. I know now to only read threads pertaining to serious issues when sober enough to read them better then the average 2nd grader and am able to craft a response with less emotion involved then the average 15 year old girl who just got fucked and dumped by her first boyfriend ever. Mistake learned from.

On this issue in particular, I pretty much agree with you. I don't think your opinion on this is even slightly ignorant, and definately is from experience of living. Hey man..it's okay,I saw that you simply misunderstood the post and we all make mistakes..heck..have ya seen my latest blunder ? I came down hard on HARDDON,(no pun intended..lol),for calling his female plants,derogatory and demeaning names. I had to apologize to HD and the mods,because I threatened to reach through this here 'puter screen..and beat him to a bloody pulp,if he ever used that language around my daughter..it was wrong and stupid of me,to threaten him that way..and I was feeling like a prudish dork..before it was all over with...lol.

The important thing is,is to be personally accountable and admit when you're wrong and apologize...there's hope for ya yet ! lol
