The US was involved as well so I don't know why you are so upset with the other countries. There are crooks in all the governments. That is why you should read the BCCI affair. The problem is with the Oil corporations getting involved in politics. Bush knew this was going on in the UN why do you think he said nothing about Clinton's pardon of Marc Rich the US member involved?

The importance of the story in Venezuela is we started a coup in a country that was doing just fine on their own so that we could control THEIR oil.
This administration failed to figure in the WWW and the world was watching. The coup in Venezuela failed. Now Venezuela has turned from us to BRIC and Cuba.
Again our countries leadership has isolated us from the rest of the world.

I wish we paid more attention to what we as a nation are doing to others and less to what others have done, I wonder if will we ever come clean?
