politicians or crooks?

I just got done watching 60 Minutes. They had a program on, talking about how America is the Candy Land for guns and how easy it is for a person to buy and ship these guns out of the country on Airplanes, CHECKED BAGGAGE!!
Any person of any nationality with a credit card and a clean background can buy the guns(etc..) that our military uses.

They had a man on from Kosovo(spelling?) who bought high powered millitary weapons and brought them back to Kosovo, to give to the gorrila fighters, fighting Serbia. This man did this bi weekly, along with others all over the country. They supplied the gorrilas with 100's of weapons yearly and are still doing so. ( imagine how easy it is for "terrorist" to do this) He continued to say that American law allows you to bring 3 weapons on planes, checked and bagged below. He also said how he was never asked any questions of why he was buying such powerfull guns, at the stores which sold them to him and for the most part customs agents.. when asked by customs agents he told them he was a elephant hunter. Showed proof, which was as easy as creating a "elephant" club in Kosovo.

I don't want to babble but after 60 minutes first aired this over a month ago. A bill was put forth to the crongress to limit the number of weapons shipped on planes, to 1 per person and make the rules stricter on purchasing high powered Military weapons.

"You know where fighting the war on "terror" and all. Trying to make the world a better and safer place" WHY THE FUCK DID THE congress TURN IT DOWN AND VITO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'am so confused right now? Are "our" politicians trying to do good for the people or trying to keep the fat cats who bank of weapon sales and fork money over to their parties, in bissness?

Maybe ill be safer living with the last remaining tribes in the rain forest..

I'am so confused right now? Are "our" politicians trying to do good for the people

Politicians never, EVER think of the people first, if not at all.
