9 month anniversary: Future?
'Sup y'all. Today is mine and my girlfriend's 9 month anniversary going out (9 months since my 18th birthday party
). It may not seem that long to a lot of users but it's the longest both of us have shared a relationship for and it's definitely something special. We're both very happy
!
But here's the thing; Next September we both go to university, two totally different universities miles and miles apart from eachother. We have a fairly long distance relationship (about a 2 hour train journey) but it hasn't caused any problems ever.
We spent a couple of days with eachother this weekend and I was considering how quickly 9 months has passed and how much i'm beginning to miss her deeply when she leaves. We both care for eachother a lot and have never argued about anything, vowing we'd discuss a problem straight up, should one ever arise.
Here's my problem; It looks like I could go a long way with this girl. I'm not being overly optimistic, we just have such an understanding and acceptance of eachother that neither of us would give up in a hurry, but I can't stop thinking about how either way, this won't have a happy ending. I'd say we have a very good chance of staying together throughout our gap year, which means we'll be torn away from eachother in September. And after everything we'll have gone through, that'll be it. I can't bare the thought of it.
I asked her how she felt about that and she said we should just enjoy ourselves without worrying about the future. I think this is sensible but i'm stuck with this uneasiness everytime i'm with her or think about her. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? How did it end for you? I'd ask for advice but I don't need it.
Cheers chums.

9 month anniversary: Future?
I recently had a relationship for a year..It was really great, we lived 9hours away from each other, and our relationship was still strng we talked on the phone for hours, and such. It worked,I soon couldn't handle the distance and moved in with him, Which we ended up breaking up like 5 months later. I'm sayng is that the distance will bring you closer at times, and further at most. But if you love each other you'll stick with it,and everything will be fine. Don't give up easy, and fight for everything you love..
good luck

Yeah, that's a good idea
. I'm sure we'd still talk and visit all the time should we get that far. I should just enjoy it now and worry about it when I well and truly need to.
Cheers.
