I've yet to shroom primarily because of lack of enviroment. Parents ruin the time while I'm at home, and many friends at school have said school is a bad place to trip. Nature seems like an ideal setting, and with little responsibility (only responsibility is my own basic needs... food clothing shelter) this seemed like it might be a great time/place to shroom.

However I have some concerns...

1. I am alone, if the trip goes bad its just me working through it...
2. I am alone, for 5 days, if I decide to shroom, I may be entering the trip with possible issue of a pretty intense feeling of isolation which could be exaggerated by shrooming alone...
3. I have two campgrounds in mind they are about 8 miles apart. I obviously don't want to drive while tripping, and for convenience/food/etc I want to shroom at the camp ground I am staying at. The two camps are vastly different, one is really roughing it, without shower facilities, only 8 camp sites, a small lake and trails for "experienced hikers only." The other is a rather hoginized campground with lots of facilities boat rentals, 300+ campsites, easy hiking trails etc. I would much rather stay at the "roughing it" site, but it seems so much safer tripping in the homoginized area, especially for the hiking.

Anyways... those are my main concerns. Even if I decide to bring them... if I'm not feeling mentally sound when the time arises, I won't take them, and I think I have a pretty good handle on my mental health (well maybe good barometer, I can't always fix my problems but I know when they are there.) Also, I'm a bit of a loner anyways... so I'm not sure the isolation thing will neccessarily be a problem, just a possible concern. Also I was planning on doing them during the day, so the night time dangers are reduced.

Also, one possible train of though was to get an 1/8 and eat 1 gram the first full day. That way to have hopefully a mild trip, and figure out my tolerance to the active agents. Then if my mild trip was indeed mild, and positive, eat the rest a few days later, if the mild trip was not mild, then I've figured out my tolerance, and hopefully it went well, if not, at least I didn't eat the whole 1/8.

So I guess I'm asking, what is a good starting dosage. I assumed around a gram would be good based on erowid, but wanted to ask people with experience.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I plan on journaling the whole camping trip, so if I do indeed shroom and am coherent enough, I will journal it.
i never minded trippin alone and being in the woods i am much more at home and at ease than in the city but if you are a person who derives security from being around others and close to civalization than maybe try and find some others in camp to dose with there should be plaenty of others on the woods hikin and campin this time of year some people just feel safer around others when dosing so if thats the case then im sure you'll have no prob finding a young lady to dose with while hking enjoy the trip dude and let us all know it went when ya'll get back btw 1-1 1/2 grams should be ok to start
