When to clear the bowl

i've always used a poker to stir my bowls so i've never had the problem,but i lost my favorite poker i've had since i started smokeing so i haven't been able to stir them lately,i'll make a new poker eventualy,but that one was so perfectly shaped and contured i miss it

Are there any ways to tell that its all gone because i sometimes find that there is a tiny bit of green inside a chard bud at the bottom of the bowl when i empty it out. Also, should i occasionally poke the bud with a stick after a couple of tokes to make sure that the bud at the bottom of the bowl is also getting lit? Rating: 5

I use a paperclip for a poker. If you've got mad poking skillz and you don't see green and the bowl is tasting like shit, it's officially dead.

I always just usually dump the bowl in an ashtray when i think i'm done, and if there's still some green when i dump it I usually say somthing like, "Thought you could hide from me did ya?"
Then I put the green back in and one-hit that shit.
