Ok, a dub is worth $20, or 2 dimes (2 x $10). Basically when you say dub you are simply saying here's is how much I want to spend. That doesn't mean that you will get the same amount/type of weed as everyone, or even anyone else. To put things in perspective, its like saying give me $20 bucks worth of whatever gas you have. The regional cost is a major factor as well as the quality of the gas in determining how MUCH you will get. So the answer is none of us can tell you if you got ripped off, since we don't know the weight (who weed is measured) or the quality of the bud. Even if we knew both of those we would need to know the market of your particular region. Your description of the weed was vague, but in general weed should come in a "buds" which look like dried up clumps of green. If you search around this site you will find various pictures of peoples weed. Weed can be sold broken up and is refered to as "shake." Shake is less desireable as it is generally too dried out, and works poorly in a bowl. Weed shouldn't be wet and slimey as the harvesting process includes drying, but a very slightly damn STICKY feel to the weed is very good. If the weed gets too dry it will be brittle, this is less desireable.

Pro's of STICKY weed: it tastes better, burns slower, packs nicer, rolls nicer, burns smoother.

Con's of DRY weed: pretty much all the opposites. Basically its harsh and undesireable.

There is a quick fix though, you can throw an apple slice in the bag with the weed for a few hours and it will remoisten the weed. Don't leave it in for too long or the weed will get moldy, but a few hours should do the trick.

How far can I get with 10 gallons of gas. It depends on the car, the quality of gas, the terrain you are covering etc. To parrallel... it depends on the weed, your particular tolerance to weed, you're smoking method, how high you want to get etc.

Simply put, if you are smoking and you feel high to the point that you are content stop smoking. Nothing is worse than not smoking enough, IMHO, so always have more than you think you need, but don't be afraid to stop either.

I'm assuming other think = joint. You have to break up weed WELL to roll joints and VERY WELL to roll blunts. Since you are relatively new to the whole weed thing, best to stick to pipes for now.

How much gas does it take to fill up a car? It depends on the car. Likewise, it depends on how fat you want to roll the joint/blunt. The best way to learn roll is with help from friends IN PERSON. Chronic in my area is just another name for good weed... although I seem to remember some people online mentioning chronic being weed laced with various other drugs. It may be a regional thing, if I heard someone say chronic I would assume good weed...

Remove seeds and stems always. You know you've packed seeds because they spark and pop when smoked. This however is not the problem. The problem is they taste horrible and cause headaches. I've heard stories of lowered sperm counts, I don't pack seeds so I've never taken the time to investigate this phenomenon. I'm sure someone more knowledgable/ambitious could give you a solid answer on that. Also seeds don't contain any THC the active ingredient in weed that gets you high. So smoking seeds doesn't help you at all. Stems contain a SMALL amount of THC and are harsh to smoke as well. Most find the relative low amount of THC from the stems not worth the torture of smoking them.

Other than that, just put the weed in the bowl and push it down a little so that any area that is pulled into the pipe has to go through the bud (just make sure thare are no big gaps).

You will know the weed is done when there is no weed left in the pipe. If you feel it isn't hitting well, look in the bowl, if the top looks like nothing but ash blow ACROSS not into, the bowl. This will remove the relatively light ash from the top, revealing the heavier fresh weed underneath.

DRO is short for hydro, as in hydroponics, as in plants grown in water. Some weed is grown in a water rather than soil for various reasons. Dro simply refers to the growing method. This does not mean it is better or worse, simply grown differently. However... hydro/dro is often mistakenly used to indicate the quality of the weed as being good. Clarification is always good when anyeone is refering to dro, as they may be talking out there ass...

Smoking techniques are personal preferance.

Legal stuff by all accounts I have heard is garbage. The only high felt is placebo, and its much more harsh than its illegal counterpart.

Glass is the way to go for pipes. Metal gets to hot. All the wood pipes I've seen have had legistical problems IE bowl shape, cleaning issues etc. There may be a quality weed smoking wood pipe, but I haven't seen one.
