Has anyone read/seen this book/movie. If so, what are your thoughts? I'de really like to discuss it. It's such an interesting story. Carl Sagan was a genious of our time.

I've never heard of it. Is the book on audio cassette or cd, besides the printed version? Would I be able to find a copy in a pdf file?

I saw it I think the movie sucked..I would probably die of boredom reading the book

actually, the book is bearable. the climax of the movie absolutely blows though. i assume that you would like to hear our thoughts about extraterrestrial intelligence regardless of our opinions on the book and movie? i believe that theres a chance with it, but in my recent spiritual-based trips i have been led to believe that we are the only intelligent species around. of course, based on how many other billions of galaxies there are, i think that there is realistically a good possibility of it. then again, i think we can be assured that there is not another intelligence of extreme advancement to ours, then why wouldnt we have been contacted yet? of course, they might be watching us. who knows?

Not unless if you read and research government documents that are about aliens, and other extra terestrials. But that's almost allways full of conspirecy though.

then again, i think we can be assured that there is not another intelligence of extreme advancement to ours, then why wouldnt we have been contacted yet?





Maybe we have, and certain governments of the world are holding it from the people..

Not to mention it would set off a catastrophic chain of events, regarding religion and stuff like that.

i've read the book + watched the movie. i like it.
i'd highly suggest reading The Dragons of Eden (about human brain evolution)
and Cosmos. Theyre much better than Contact.
he was certainly a genius.

the only thing about Contact is that it's fiction. I sometimes have trouble reading books like this that are fiction. I had trouble reading Dan Brown's "The da vinci code" because it was a ficticious story.
