I'll bring the queso and chips, how about some chicken fajitas to go along with 'em, flanked on the left by a pitcher of margaritas, and on the right by a platter of guacamole, hot sauce, Spanish rice, refried beans, and pork tamales? Man, now I'm hungry all of a sudden..........

Wait till Marley fest next year is Austin. There are hundreds of people sitting around on blankets and in chairs there smoking , listening to live reggae music, and they have a drum circle...Its so awesome, And the cops that are there walk around looking up and stuff like that acting like they dont see anything...its usually the saturday closest to 420. It was 4/16 this year.

There is a folk music festival each year in the Hill Country. I haven't been in a few years, but I hear it's just as great as ever. Lots of folk rock like Arlo Guthrie, the Smothers Brothers, Kingston Trio, etc. Plus some folk country as well.

I live in a suburb just north of dallas, not quite to plano though, called carrollton.
Damn I wish I could afford to go to austin for a music fest, but sadly, I have to be responsible and pay my bills.
you can have the fajitas, the tamales, the queso and all that other stuff, I'll take the pitcher of margaritas and chill in the jacuzzi.

Yeah, to be honest, I'd be completely satisfied with a never-empty bowl, an endless supply of iced tea, and that jacuzzi you mentioned. By the way, I am through Carrollton at least once a week. I was there today, as a matter of fact. Have you ever eaten at that barbecue place on the Old Denton Road? I can't think of it's name. It's pretty good, but not the best in town. You'll have to travel to Euless for the absolute best pork ribs anywhere around here.

They are both self-employed, and both make really, really good money, so it's not even a second thought to them. Their wives aren't too cool with it, but after all these many, many years, they have just given in.
Right now they're somewhere in California, not sure which bands they are watching. They get tickets online to a bunch of shows, then head to that part of the country. Cool lifestyle if the boss at home allows it. Funny thing is that they said they took their wives ONCE, but the ladies were so bored with all the down time smoking, drinking, and just hanging out, that they don't want to go anymore.

I haven't been to many bbq places, because none of them can ever beat what i can have at home, so I'm not sure about that one.
There's a really good mexican food restaurant in farmers branch called Nuevo Leon, depending on what part of carrollton you're going through it could be pretty close. It's on Josey and webb chapel. It's a pretty small place but they have some good stuff. However, if you want really cheap mexican food, you have to hit some of the taquerias all over the place. There's a tin shack looking place called jalapenos on josey near 35 that has really good tortas(like a mexican sub sandwich)---mmm spicy pork.
I've only really been to one large concert, because I was given the tickets, and I really didn't dig the whole massive throngs of people thing. No way I could do the traveling across the country thing right now, I'd be too worried that someone would screw up the vague semblance of order I've worked so hard to achieve at home, but maybe one day.

I hear ya about the vague semblence of order my friend. It's all I can do to just keep above the waterline some days.
If you ever find yourself over in Euless on Hwy. 183, check out North Main Barbecue. The guy who owns it won the world rib cooking championship two years in a row. It's all you can eat, serve yourself. And it's BYOB.
Also, check out Red, Hot, and Blue on Parker Rd. in Plano or the one in Flower Mound. Both are excellent.
Go up north on I35 sometime to La Hacienda Ranch, in Lewisville, I believe. Reeeeeeeally good Mexican food.
So how is your signup for the drum circle going???

No one wants to touch it with a ten foot pole lol. I did find out there is a public circle at the cosmic cafe, a vegetarian indian restaurant on oak lawn in dallas, I think I might check that out some time. I hear its a pretty neat place anyway, and they have live citar and tabla music on weekends, and free yoga classes sometimes.
