how hard is it to make enough money to support a kid

...my wife busted out hysterically laughing at this....lets just say....you better hope she isn't cuz you seriously have no life when you have a baby around...unless, of course...you have someone to pawn him off on.

and just also to let people know ok....well we just broke up like 1 month ago and she was on the patch but quit using it seeing that we broke up and then on the 4th we hung out again and this led to THAT lol and now were about to date again which is great because i was stupid and made a big mistake by breaking up with her ...lol so just letting you know i wasnt all that stupid she was on the patch lol ....

this is his wife again lol....ok lemme just say that after the hell of a 27 hr. labor with basicly no meds....i'm PARANOID AS FUCK and i dont' ever wanna go thru that shit again. i'm talkin birth control, condoms...everything lol.

ok...i was working flipping burgers when i found out i was pregnant. i stayed there till i was about 7 months along, then i quit because my belly was getting too far out there. anyways...making 5.15 an hour, and having to buy diapers, wipes, clothing, bibs, formula, etc etc adds up. plus needing stuff for us like toilet paper, food, clothes, toothpaste and stuff like that. also we were given a beat up (piece of shit!) car by his family and we're trying to fix it up so we can move outta his grandparents house (gag)...so its gonna take ...um....years? lol

but just to give you an idea...my son (7 mos) goes thru at least 13 or so of the smaller Enfamil cans of formula powder a month. WIC only pays for 9 of them....that 9 that are basicly free=about 125 bucks or so. so if you can't get on WIC or something else happens...thats AT LEAST 125...just for food. then add all the other stuff. right now we're barely scraping by. he can't work because we have no body to watch the baby, so i have to work and try to save a few dollars at a time back so we can get outta this situation.


i hope she isn't pregnant dude...i really do. for both yalls sakes. its a lotta responsibility and it costs a fuckload....anything else you wanna know your free to ask...i could go on for hours bout this type of thing.

well one good thing is my family have alot of money ..not a shit load but my dad makes a good 80 grand plus a year and im not saying by any means that your family doesnt im just saying that i know my mom would help me out...just becuase shes that kinda person loves me to death and just worries about me but i was just wondering around what it costs or so month and how old were you ect when you got pregnant...understand family and shit..or what....not tryng to get real personal with you just wondering....and how did they take it and how do you think mine would my mom and dad are both very understanding...but hes always telling me no babys lol but thanks alot

ok well i was 23 when i got pregnant....and scared shitless. as for about how much it'd cost a month for a baby....*thinks* about 150/mo. for formula, then money each time they get shots (every coupla months), about 35 or so a month for diapers and wipes (we can only get the walmart brand ones ><) then add in clothes cuz they grow like crazy...at walmart baby outfits aren't expensive...but we haven't had to buy any yet cuz my husbands mom gave us a buttload of stuff.

the crib itself cost us around 100 dollars, the mattress was 30, then we have a swing thats around 40 bucks, and believe me you'll need one when your kid wont stop shrieking at 3 am. lol. every time they get shots they need infant medicine to make the pain and swelling go away (about 7 bucks a pop), then you gadda buy like 30 bucks worth of batteries lol...cuz everything a baby likes runs on batteries.


i'mma go out on a limb and say that pretty much 300-400 bucks a month.

and thats if you can even afford everything...its nice that your family would help you out. but are you sure they would? i mean, just cuz they have all that money doesn't mean they will help you a bunch. they might end up saying that they want you to learn responsibility and they'll only help you minimally and you gadda work your ass off.

either way dont tell em till your sure she's pregnant. and if she is...make sure she gets herself on WIC and Medicaid...

Well thanks everyone for everything.....and yeah im not thinking she is ......but its been way to long for the day after pill anyway..this happend on the 4th and the bad part is she was supposed to start yesterday and i wont even know if she has started at all for another like 7 days or more cause shes at her dads and she cant talk cause its long distance...
