Hey. I read around that an effective way of keeping your plant tiney is to pinch the plant after the 4th node. But I don't pinch it completely off, right? Can anyone give me a little more info on pinching?

What else is there to know? It's a stress technique that the makes the plant put it's energy into repairing the damaged spot and not growing up. It will start again but only after about 3 weeks. By them most people have them into flower anyway.

Your question is the technique there is not much more then that.

Here is a picture of a plant I did that too I pinched off the tips of each leaf.

1st pic about 2 weeks after pinching
2nd pic 6 weeks (back middle plant)
I only did this because I had a retard that never grew past its first set of 3 point leaves and it is now only 5" tall and is about 2 months old. one advantage it has 3 main stems but won't yeild much. The other plants are all 2 or 3 times the size and weeks younger. So it's up to you! I've been told it will be a potant plant but that remains to be seen. -Good luck

A node is where the leaves protrude from the main stock. That's also where the sex shows first too.
A normal (but not all) plants will have 2 leaves from the main stock then grow some and then another set of leaves. That is referred to as node spacing.

I used a plasic garage storage box HD lined with tex-foil HD which is bubble wrap covered in mylar vented by two comp fans one blowing in the other out. I took some sheet metal HD and made mounts for lights. I bought heavy gauge sockets from HD wired them all to an extension cord, fans on one lights on another then wired the two extention cords to another cord that comes out a small hole in the bottom plugged into a timer all on a surge protector. Please note the wiring was done by an electrical engineer.

    Hope this helps!

if the plant is growing where your dad lives you can bet he'll find it...ya can't hide a grow from the 'rents! it's a noisy, bright and most of all, smelly operation. if you must do it, try the outdoors...less trouble.
