Yes, I must agree that telling the world (or anyone!) is the #1 reason that people get busted.

Busts seem to usually stem from an "anonymous" tip and then the case is made from there. This includes staking out the suspect joint, heat image scanning, electric bill audit, et al...

However, an anonymous tip can simply result from some "boyscout" meter reader who notices that your electricity meter is spinning like a CD!

One of my boys is running a total of 2500W in just lights alone; not including air-con, blowers and many other household appliances.

His monthly electric bill ranges in the $300 to $350 while our average electric bill is around $135 for the state.

I recently spoke with a NORML recommended attorney and she says that a suspicious electric bill is around $600++ per month.

Also, that bills are compared to the surrounding neighborhood's average.

4800W in lights alone not to mention all of the other supporting electrical devices are going to push your bill in excess of $600 for sure.

Joel, you make a couple of good points but, MY attorney states that if the cops come a knockin, you do not let them in under any circumstances.

You make them go get a search warrant. You don't talk to them, explain nothing and make them work for their donuts.

These are facts as far as I know. I'm not trying to freak anyone out.
I'm just trying to help.

Now lets recap: 1) Get a good lawyer. 2) Keep your fuckin' mouth shut!
