I HAVE 2 VERY NICE LADIES GROWING. BUT IM NOT REALY SURE WHEN TO HARVEST THEM. I CAN ALREADY SEE THE PISTALS GROWING . I STAY IN TEXAS IF THAT HELPS.

The colors of the hairs are only part of the cycle of the plants life. They change color by temperature and maturity at the end of their life cycle. The only true way to know when to harvest is to view the trichomes with a 10x to 30x microscope. Mature trichome looks like a golf ball sitting on golf tee, big and round on the top. The color is clear to cloudy. Cloudy is peak for that trichome. Because there are millions of trichomes you need to harvest on the average. They will continue to mature through the drying process for a day or more. Amber color is past prime for that trichome so you are just looking for an average.

i use a childs microscope, its more than good enough for the job, it lets me get up realy close, it came as a box set from my local toy store it has alsorts of different viewing bits, it was cheap as well less than 20 pounds, i have a hand magnifier that is about x 10, its ok but i can struggle a bit to see good enough, if you pick your bud a little early but nearly ripe then you will still have good smoke, if you harvest late then it will still be good, it just might be a bit of a stoner .....peace ............ happy
