how can all of you guys sit here and say that the U.S. goverment is corrupt and say that we are going to war over oil and we have no reaL reason to be in iraq. That 911 was a conspiracy to create an excuse to attack other countries. Why would any goverment create a plan that would devastate its own country so much thousands of loving husband wives and children were lost our economy was badly shaken and is still yet to recover. Does that acutally make sense. If it were not for the millions of men and women who have lost there lives, defied the greatest country in the world(at the time), braved into the unkown, and created a unique goverment to allow u to sit in ur chiar at home and say whatever you feel like. Now after all of that why would u ever wnat to break down and not support your leaders and goverment. I have traveled around the world and i can say 100% honestly we live in the greatest country in the world.

because the lives of citizens are the least of their concerns, as long as their political goals are completed and they have some cash in their pocket

I'm not about to say that 9/11 was a conspiracy by the US government (although there are pressing questions that need answers regarding the current theories of how and why it happened), but it certainly used the attacks as an excuse to create power strongholds in Asia (look into the Project for the New American Century sometime). You make the mistake of assuming that our leaders are genuinely much more concerned with the lives of everyday people than they are in their own pocketbooks, and are not willing to set the people as a lower priority in order to fatten their wallets, satisfy the HUGE numbers of corporate lobbyists in Washington, or just to help the economy. There is no incentive for Bush to care about what regular people think anymore. He's already been elected and barring extreme circumstances he is guaranteed to be President for the next couple of years. However, there IS incentive for him to help out corporations, particularly the ones he and his buddies get money from. We can't assume that someone is free from the temptation of money just because about half the population thinks he's the better of the two candidates rich enough and powerful enough to run for president.
