    Lets get scientific

Ok my friend has this scientifically proven fact for ya and I'm going to let her explain then yall tell me what you think.......

Okay, we all should know what THC is. (the chemical in marajuana that gives us that "high.")
Well, it is fat soluable, which means that it passes through the fats and tissues of our body, before it passes through the blood-brain barrier. The fact that it passes through our fats and tissues dilludes it, so you only get a fraction of the chemical in your brain that what you have originally taken into your body.
Alcohol, however is water soluble (sorry for mis-spellings), which means it passes through our blood stream and enters our brain much quicker than THC, and has a much more intoxicating effect on your body.
The point of this is that if THC were water soluble instead of passing through fat and tissue, smoking a joint (depends on how big and the quality, of course) would have the same effect on our brain as taking a hit of LSD, or acid.
    Interesting, huh?

I don't think it would have the same effect as acid. THC works on the cannabinoid receptors in our brains, which seem to be related to chemicals we have that regulate hunger and mood, while LSD and other psychedelic hallucinogens are chemically in a whole different ballpark.

Ermitonto has it. Psychotropic chemicals have the effects the have the effects they do not because of the medium of solubility but because of the specific chemical receptors they activate in the neurons in our brains. LSD and THC fit two entirely different neurochemical receptors. THC engages the CB-1 receptors in brain cells (and CB-2 receptors in somatic cells), while LSD mates with the 5-HT2A receptor, and to a lesser extent, the SST2A receptor. It is this, and not the solubility that determine the effect. It would be easier to pass a drug test, though, since water-soluble compounds are removed from the body faster. THC stays in the body as long as it does precisely because it is fat-soluble.

OK well I'm not saying it would effect that part of the brain but would have a stronger effect on our cannabinoid receptors therefore a high that would be much more intense and could be compared with an acid trip.Or so I heard.

Not necessarily. There is much more water in the body than there is fat. More than likely, if THC were water-soluble it would actually take more to have the same effect, due to dilution. And the effect would probably not last nearly as long.
