Well thatā??s an easy question to answer.
First you need to make sure you have a glass shield and blower to move air through the hood and back out the other side.
Now you can get the light as close as you need to. Like 16ā? with out heat burning your plants.
Next make sure you use a remote temperature probe to monitor the temperature at the top of your canopy 24/7. They only cost 10-15 dollars. Just use a wire and insulate the probe you donā??t want the wire to heat up the probe. Now you can get the light as close you need to with out fear of hurting your plants.
You want the temperature not to exceed 82° f ever. You want to keep the temperature as close to 76° f as possible over the whole 24 hour period. Monitor the swing and keep it to a minimum for stress free growing.
