New to growing, have some questions.

Hi - I am new to growing and have a couple of questions that I need answers to. I want to know at what point plants can be induced into flowering by shortening the light period to 12 hours a day. They are presently getting 18 hours of light per day. How old must they be before one can induce the flowering process? I am raising some Indica plants, Atomic NL. They are 32 days old and about 17 " tall. I am getting them outdoors 10 - 12 hours per day and then finishing the 18 hours of light with fluorescent lights, as my HP sodium fixture has not arrived yet. I also want to know if male plants can be smoked or used for anything?? Is there any way to determine the sex of the plants prior to flowering without cloning? The plants are beautiful and I have already grown attached to them. It really sucks that mj is illegal, because they are asthetically pleasing. Any help that anyone can give me will be appreciated. Thank your for your time and consideration. Airace

males are only usefull if u want a lot of seeds, u can induce flowering wenever u like, u may as well wait for the hps if u got alot of vertical space

I think my plants are beautiful too. I watch them for hours. Right before I chop them down, dry them out, grind them up, and set fire too them.

first off, your plants don't need a dark period during vegitive you can give them light 24-7, and you can smoke a male plants leaf and dried flower sacks or make hash oil with male flower sacks, the high is kinda mellow but it's not realy worth the huge pollen problem (you'l never grow another female seed plant in an area w/ male pollen in the air and all your female clones will go too seed or hermie-out cuz of pollenation) and floro's suck ass wait for your good lamp
