I made this thread only because the Audio is very interesting and its all great advice. I dident post it so that everyone will convert into Islam and then maybe one guy would sweep me off my feet, No.

Torog, muslims believe in jesus but we dont believe hes the son of god...or that he is god...why would god come to earth as a man? We believe he is a prophet and that he was never killed on the cross, that one of his followers took his place on the cross and Jesus was taken up to heaven. We believe Jesus was thought to be God by christians because he could do miricles like make a blind man/ woman see and he could heal the sick. Our beleifs are very simalir and we believe christians r closest to god after the Muslims.

Im not trying to convince anyone, i just wanted everyone to enjoy the audio just as I did.

Well..I must admit,that I ain't listened to the audio clips that you speak of,because I figured that it was an 'evangilical',conversion propaganda..is it ? You say that it offers 'great advice'..on what ?

I believe and support your right to believe in what you wish,however,Islam,is a very bad religion for women,in terms of rights,there are virtually none,and if you hook up with a fundy muslim,you'll be mostly living in fear..for the rest of your life.

I just wish,that you could experience temporarily,what it's like to be a woman,in a fundy muslim country..I doubt seriously,if you'd like it at all..you've been raised with all the rights and freedoms that America has to offer..all of that,would vanish in the blink of an eye..in a fundy muslim country..are you prepared for that ? I think that you'd rebell against the loss of those freedoms and doing so,may cost you your life,because you're too young and immature to know when to be quiet. If you intend to remain muslim,at some point,you will be required to make the pilgrimage to Mecca..and that's when you'd be kept against your will,in Saudi,if you wind up marrying an arab-muslim..especially if that's his home country. Currently,this is an ongoing problem,and the current position of the Saudi goverment,is to side with the arab-muslim man,there have been several movies made of this serious problem..I wish that you would watch a couple of them.

Yup..I too got to experience Riyahd,and it sucked..we were treated badly the whole time,like camel dung on the bottom of their sandals.

I'll be honest and say I haven't read all the posts on this thread,
Ok I am no femmenist, I believe that each of the genders has their seperate roles in life, but I am an independent woman who does like to have her say and do things without having to ask anyones permission to do so.
I have visted four Muslim countries in my life and I have witnessed with my own eyes their treatment of their women. A womans freedoms in such countries ranges from very poor to none at all, they are simply the property of their husband. The countries I have visted are Tunisa, morrocco, Eygpt amd Turkey, I would only venture out of the hotels when in the company of male family members and still some of the guys tried (very unsuccsesfully) to hassel me. Believe me that religion has a very different outlook on womens rights.

I don't mean to droll on about womens rights and all that stuff, that really isn't my scene, I'm just telling it as I have seen it.

Istanbul has the best club scene,never saw alot of problems there with the half naked women in the club scene,not to mention how pro-america all the young people i met were.had a blast.as for saudi arabia,WOW.

Maybe one can git as far as the gates of Heaven,but before you enter,you must acknowledge,that Jesus Christ,is the Son of God.

Folks of every culture and race,have converted to Christianity..so it is possible,for even the most backward of peoples,to learn about Jesus Christ..and choose His Path. Whereas Islam,demands to be the only religion and instructs it's followers to slay Jews and infidels..or force them into dhimmitude.

I'm not demanding that you or anyone else,be a Christian and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour..I want your choice,to be purely voluntary..I don't condemn you or anyone else,that's God's job..and I dang sure won't kill anyone for not being Christian,like muslims would and do.

Personally, I just can't buy that you have to get to heaven (should there be one) through Jesus Christ. After all, the whole purpose of jesus giving us gods teachings was to instill a code of moral conduct in us which would get us into heaven. but, should we follow the same virtuous life and morality, but through buddhism, or hinduism, or whatever, then what's the problem? the only other problem I can see would be the belief of many people that we only go to church and follow these rules because the infinite wisdom that is god needs his ego stroked. if he doesn't, then it shouldn't matter what our religion is, just that we act and live as god wants us to.


btw Torog, I'm not asking this in a mocking way, I'm actaully just wondering from a christian point of view what the answer is to:

1. Where did people go after death, before Jesus?

2. What about all the people in the world who lived after jesus but never even heard about him or god. are they condemned to hell, or purgatory, or what's the deal with that?

3. Why don't islamics and Jews go to heaven if they still worship the one true god, pay homage to him daily, and live as they believe he wants them to? I mean it kind of sucks to think you spend your whole life worshipping and loving god but then he condems you anyway.
