What makes you think she wants to marry a muslim man Torog? She just wants people to learn more about the religion.

And there are plenty of good Muslim Americans and Britons that arn't so dedicated to Islam as to strip a woman of her freedom in the way you just described. Fundamentalist Christians are ALWAYS narrow-mindedly trying to convert people to their religion, at the same time there are good Christian folk that live by the Bible but whole-heartedly believe in each his own and therefore do not invade the space of others with their beliefs.

The same for Muslim folk. Should Lily or any other woman move to Saudi with a muslim husband with a strong muslim heritage in the family, they'd most definitely be under pressure to convert. However, many Muslims living under our Western culture understand that this is not how people should be treated in a democratic society and we make our own choices based on our own beliefs.

Well..just yesterday in chat,Lily mentioned that she was interested in marrying a muslim man..and I've been worried and concerned for her,ever since.

Every muslim,is required to make the pilgrimage to Mecca,at least once in their lives..that's how muslim men,trick former infidels,like Lily,into going to a fundy islamic country,that will then support whatever the muslim husband wishes to do to his wife..whether that's honor killing or simply a beating.. or keeping their children..the muslim man will not be prosecuted for anything.

From what I've gathered,Lily has already converted to Islam and now wants to take the final step of marrying a muslim man..the question is,is that man a fundy jihadist,or one of the many muslims who prefer western freedoms ?

I don't believe,that I've ever met a muslim with a western accent..they are few and far between,in these here parts..but there's a bunch of em,in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. We have over 100 Christian churches,in a town of less than 20k folks,and not a single mosque or synagogue..if that tells ya anything.

I would be more positive..if those good muslims you speak of,would step forward and denounce the bad muslims,but they don't and they may not ever..until then,the Free world has no choice but to assume and presume,the worst,about Islam.

That's a shame. I believe a hearty chat with a non-fundamentalist Muslim would benefit your judgment a great deal.

In light of the terrorist attacks we suffered recently, many Muslim Britons have spoken out in the media against the attackers (of whom targeted all religions) in an effort to suppress rampant hatred towards ALL Muslims for the evils of a few. It's entirely necessary in my opinion, although an innocent Muslim was killed in an unprovoked attack recently, most definitely as part of the backlash to the attacks so it didn't work as well as hoped .

It's a shame you guys would sooner air an anti-muslim commercial on TV then allow the minority their public say during a time in which they are very much likely to be victimised for their shared beliefs.

Would you take my word for it that not all Muslims are Jihad-loving psychos and are in fact good people like you and me?

This is what really gets me about most Christians. To be so arogant as to assume that only if you worship their god and follow their religin that you can get into heaven. There are a lot of good people in the world who aren't Christians. People who, if the only thing you knew about them was what they had done in their life, you would call saints. That is until you hear they aren't Christian and then they are condemmed.

Maybe all religions are, in fact, worshipping the same God. Think about it. There are a lot of different people in the world, people with different beliefs and different value systems. What might work for one society wouldn't work for another. If God is all knowing, omnipotent, wouldn't he know that? Wouldn't he know how to best present himself to each culture?

Me personally, I'm an agnostic, borderline atheist. But I'm a good person. I'm honest, try not to hurt anyone, love my wife and family, etc. I'd like to think that when the day actually comes, if there is, in fact, a God, he will judge me by my actions in my life and not by which God I did or didn't worship.

Lily is right, though, Islam is very similar to Christianity in it's beliefs. I by no means mean that as an endorsement.

You see,that's the problem..the good muslims,won't step forward and denounce the jihadists,with a fatwa..until they do,they're just pissin in the wind.

I know that there are good muslims,but they are hard to find..they are too afraid of the jihadists,to step forward and issue a fatwa against them. Until they do,things will only git worse.

Maybe one can git as far as the gates of Heaven,but before you enter,you must acknowledge,that Jesus Christ,is the Son of God.

Folks of every culture and race,have converted to Christianity..so it is possible,for even the most backward of peoples,to learn about Jesus Christ..and choose His Path. Whereas Islam,demands to be the only religion and instructs it's followers to slay Jews and infidels..or force them into dhimmitude.

I'm not demanding that you or anyone else,be a Christian and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour..I want your choice,to be purely voluntary..I don't condemn you or anyone else,that's God's job..and I dang sure won't kill anyone for not being Christian,like muslims would and do.

I made this thread only because the Audio is very interesting and its all great advice. I dident post it so that everyone will convert into Islam and then maybe one guy would sweep me off my feet, No.

Torog, muslims believe in jesus but we dont believe hes the son of god...or that he is god...why would god come to earth as a man? We believe he is a prophet and that he was never killed on the cross, that one of his followers took his place on the cross and Jesus was taken up to heaven. We believe Jesus was thought to be God by christians because he could do miricles like make a blind man/ woman see and he could heal the sick. Our beleifs are very simalir and we believe christians r closest to god after the Muslims.

Im not trying to convince anyone, i just wanted everyone to enjoy the audio just as I did.
