It was already stated that the bonsai site was crap....it is the twisty cats that are not fake....and YES there is a petition to stop breeders from breeding cats with legs so small they can't walk....

I think those are fake, too, quite honestly. Nothing on Snopes about them, though, that I can see. It's pretty easy to doctor photos these days with powerful editing tools like Photoshop. Now, if you can find a reputable news source exposing this as real animal abuse, I'll believe it - at least more than I do now.

They aren't fake...I wish they were....they are breeders they started out breeding polydactl cats....then they took the ones with the shortest most deformed legs and kept going....look at the sites...it is really sad and they should be stopped.

Well, I did find this on the UC Davis website. Pretty respectable, IMO. It discusses mainly ordinary polydactylism in felines, and devotes only a couple paragraphs at the end to the Twisty Cat phenomenon. But, it's a start.
