Don't listen to the rabblerousers...why don't you quit for a short period of time completely and see how you feel? Maybe 3 months...work out...hang wit yer honey...stay busy. See how you feel at the end of 3 months. But during that 3 months don't smoke at ALL. You may be able to just start smoking again for recreation again. It's a very positive thing that you want to quit, though. Just don't feel like you CAN'T bc that's just the weed talking (and yer own internal monologue saying it's too hard). You CAN stop smoking pot and take care of yourself more.
I'm one of those stoner moms that absolutely must keep on top of things (I work too), so going to work stoned is not an option, and I don't get stoned around my kid bc I want to enjoy him and not divert my attention from him. This is a big change from before I had kids when I just sparked up any and all times of day.
So what I'm trying to tell you is that you can make a life-change, you just have to be able to see clearly what you're trying to do and commit to it. Is it just getting into better shape? Clearing your head?
Good luck. You can do it. The shit is mentally addictive, not physically, and while it's hard to realize that when youre in the middle of it, remember it's something you can overcome by sheer will power.

Thinking of giving weed up for good!
It has been over one year that I have quit smoking ciggs (after smoking for 30 years) and I will admit it was the hardest thing I have ever done. I haven't had one since March 13, 2003. I will say that MJ did help me get through the worst of THAT. I will never smoke ciggs again. MJ not only calmed me down through that transition, but helped with the oral fixation as well...
As a daily stoner, I am now on DAY forty-six (yes I am counting) of abstinence for the purpose of cleaning up to find a job. This country has become ridiculous, and I was all prepared to go with substitution until I found out there are no doors and the tester is standing right there. (bastards) As a wake and bake person I knew it would take the maximum time for me to fully clean up. I once went 36 days and was still testing positive. My only withdrawal symptom was an upset stomach, which only lasted two days, but may have been due to nerves. Having the vivid dreams are a reality and I still haven't gotten used to them!
One thing I found that having ciggs in the drawer instead of NOT having any available, seemed to help. Feeling as though I CAN'T and don't have any, was no longer a concern. I knew I could, and had some in a drawer if I wanted some. They are still there !!!
Same with the MJ. I have some if I want some.
Both cases, having the option and availabilty and still choosing not to indulge made me stronger.
Good luck to all stoners that are quitting to find a job or for whatever reason. You can do ANYTHING you set your mind to, you have the power WITHIN. peace. xoxoxo

This is just my opinion. If you smoke pot, and don't have a job or any kind of life but smoking and it's what you live for, there's something really really wrong with that. But if after a hard day of work to pay bills, you sit down and smoke out, yo, that's the best stuff right there. Or whenever you're bored and just have nothing to do, kewl. I just don't like the smokers that smoke 24/7 and never do anything with themselves or their lives, they give all smokers a bad name. People tend to generalize us.... <<sigh>> Lol!
Let\'s all get high tonight... bum bum de bum.
