Nobody wants to smoke with a bong-hog or a nug-pincher. Why should you be that guy nobody wants to smoke with? Do unto others, etc. My philosophy anyway.

We always had "etiquette" when it came to smoking, buying, whatever. Never tried to screw anyone over, always shared the goodies, and MOST importantly, never, EVER steal anyone's piece. That's just plain RUDE~!

Us old-school stoners had lots of rules, but we never wrote them down. Some off the top of my head ....

1) Never smoke alone. Find someone who has smoked you out recently, or invite a new friend. Smoking is a team sport.

2) When you buy a bag, you offer up at least 1 bowl to the supplier. The supplier gets rewarded, and he sticks around just in case he tries to dump shit on you.

3) Whenever there is a new strain available, your supplier smokes out all of his good customers.

4) If more than one person has product, bowls a alternatley packed.

5) Of course, everyone gets the same number of hits, unless someone in the rotation passes. There is some kind of friendly verbal abuse in this case.

6) Keep your lips and the joint dry.

I hate to be in a group and someone starts talking and then they just forget to pass it. They let it go out then you have to light it back up and it wastes it. I perfer at my old age to smoke alone and have my pipe. I dont like doobies anymore. They make me hack alot...lol I perfer a water bong but I dont like having it around cause its just easier to get ride of the weed but the supplies you cant just toss away in a emergency. I think smart. lol

Smoking with Satovan: Official Rule Book

1.) Whoever packs the bowl is first in rotation, it is passed in the order people are sitting, or they can argue about it until everyone gets the fuck in order.

2.) You blow that shit out of the pipe, and you're not walking home on both legs.

3.) One hit off a pipe, three off a joint or blunt, you fuck up, you're out of rotation.

4.) Everyone brings their own lighter so no one's gets stolen.

5.) Touch anyone else's stash without their permission and it's up to the owners judgement to decide what to do.

6.) Everyone should share and help out. If someone can bring food and beverages that's awesome. If someone can match bowls that's awesome. But mooches get cut out of rotation pretty fast.

7.) Anyone pisses on my toilet seat they owe me either a bowl or a pack of cigs.

i always pass greens to the guest and let it go around the circle with the supplier being last. Then when the bowl ends, the next bowl picks up where the last left off. Etiquette is important; however, I don't believe many people appriciate it anymore.

Since everyone's making lists I might as well list me and my buddies (which we nearly wrote down just cause we've selected these on a case by case basis over a long time)

1. Everyone who wants to smoke may smoke. There is no such thing as exclusionary smoking, no matter what the foul may be (even coughing into the bong will not dump you from the rotation)

2. You smoke enough bowls that each person gets greens at one point down the line.

3. When more than one person has weed, the bowl is packed/joint is rolled with samples of each, for equality bordering on communism

4. If you wetlip, you are expected to wipe it off on your own shirt

5. If someone didn't get a good hit, a re-light is in order, no questions asked. This continues until a good hit is achieved (this is useful actually because sometimes there will be a clog and someone who likes to smoke peaceful instead of fiending on it may be denied their full smoke)

6. None of this "I gotta save a bowl for later" bullshit, if there is one bowl's worth left, it is getting smoked here and now.


Those are our six golden rules, and they have never failed us. We really are too equal about some shit though, like when Jason was rolling a joint and we decided that because he was rolling one we each had to roll one. So instead of a gram, we smoked close to four grams that day. But still, I wouldn't call that a "waste" so much as a "wasteful way of having a great day"

1. Everyone puts up weed in a circle. If you don't have weed to share you better have money or someone to cover your ass.

2. Supplier gets first hit, or decides who gets first hit.

3. Direction is decided at the beginning and continues in the same direction during the whole session, unless 2 devices are traveling at once, in which case there maybe be different directions.

4. One hit on a piece, 2 on a joint/blunt.

3. above rule is null and void should you piss me off by never contributing nothing and just hanging around long enough to get high and leave (yes unfortunately it has happened with a couple diffrent people)

4. rotation stays the same you switch it's automaticly corrected and you forfiet your next round

5. DO NOT BLOW IN PEICES, OR THE JOINT/BLUNT i'm not so harsh on getting it wet, wipe it off move on.

6. any drink ihave is yours unless you just got done puking, then you better hope you find your own thing to drink out of (yes i've had someone just get done vomit t hen BEG not just ask to have a drink of my soda.

that's about it, don't pass out on my bed, don't puke on my floor, common household rules left that are pretty well known anyways.
