    gonzales was elected to the American Law institute in 1999

    gonzales was head of the Houston Hispanic Bar Association from 1990-91

    finished at Harvard Law School(wich should make you happy)

    recieved a Presidential citation from President Clinton for his dedication to addressing the basic legal needs for the indigent.

    and the list goes on and on.i like Janice Rogers Brown also.

    Okay so explain your opinion on his stance regarding torture. He says that it's okay to torture people even if it means they die as a result. Of course, you'll most likely either ignore me or talk about crazy muslims as a diversion. I just want your opinion. Amsterdam, can you sit there and say that you think it's a GOOD idea to have a guy who doesnt think that extreme torture is wrong and a violation of what america stands for running around in the Supreme Court? That's alot of power flamsterdam. you REALLY trust that much of it to a guy that wants to torture people? and before you get into protecting our freedoms bullshit let's remember that iraq is temporary (at least thats what the government tries to say) the decisions gonzo would make on the bench effects YOUR future too.

    he's also said bush is above the law and above the constitution.

    it's okay to torture people, and it's okay if people die while being tortured, as long as the torture isn't what killed them...
