I personally think Courtney Love killed him. I hate her. Can't stand her. Never will sorry. Are you guys just disagreeing because u think she's hot? LOL just kiddin but seriously I think she made a suicide plot to make it seem like he wanted too and maybe he did but i think she jumped to the punch

I was a huge Nirvana fan back in the day, and I too believed that Courtney Love killed him. This doesnt seem logical now, because it was her husband, and they actually did hold a very close relationship even though they had their arguments. Kurt's "suicide" note was in two different handwritings. The first half is believed to be a simple retirement letter because Nirvana was going to split up, (not on unfriendly terms, but out of growing tired of Nirvana's pop success). The levels of heroine in his blood stream was tested by an officer unfamiliar with autopsy procedures and claimed to have an amount of heroine that would have rendered kurt dead before he could even pick up a gun. So I definitely dont think it was suicide, it could have been anyone... why would he kill himself when he had a daughter who he wanted to give her something he didnt have growing up, (a father). We'll probably never know, but I dont care, because I didnt know him personally, and its not my place to judge.

I think he committed suicide. He loved courtney and courntey loved him. He just had alot of problems and couldnt deal with it. Im not really a big fan of courtney, she can be a bitch sometimes, but I respect her because Kurt loved her and so she cant be that bad. Its like if your son married someone you didnt like but you have to respect her anyway.

I agree with Blind Fellow, he killed himself. He couldn't deal with commercial success and the torture of heroin withdrawl. He wanted to kick heroin but couldn't deal with the physical pain of detox. I think he wanted his music heard but wasn't prepared for the instant riches or fan worship. Remember how about 2 weeks before he shot himself he tried to OD? It was a sign of what was coming...a "successful" suicide.

I think he was a lyrical genuis, but I think that with that also came an insane genuis, or at least someone who was emotionally and mentally troubled. (Obviously) I'm stealing a quote from Fox Mulder in the X Files when I ask, "Isn't it reasonable to say that someone with heightened intelligence may also have heightened psychosis?" Or maybe this all makes sense because I'm stoned...

And I don't think that we should forget the OTHER members of Nirvana who were also responsible for the band's greatness. Dave Grohl has proved how influencial he was with his further success with the Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age.

well after you read the book about it. i really think courtney had someone kill him. heres my main context clues: first: x-wrestler told public he was offered 50,000 dollars to kil him....what happened 2 weks after that??? he was found murdered. 2: the letter...the top half is scratched out then re-written, what they could get out of it was that it seemed like he started out writing about the breaking up of nirvana and the reasons behind it. then it turned into a suicide note in hand writing that didnt match. 3: the shotgun was laying across his stomach...if i shot myself in the head with a shotgun, even as hard as i tried i dont think i would be able to lay it across my chest after the impact, as goes for most people who have pondered that. 4: the amount of heroin he had in his body was said to be way too much for him to be able to function....but on the otherhand, he porbably built up a lot of tolerance and whoever investigated really wouldnt be able to tell how much he could handle. sorry bout the long message but thats what i think. check out the books
