smokefiend Reviewed by smokefiend on . Home in PA Hi, I am from a small town in PA, love it here. Currently, I support 3 legalization of marijuana efforts, but, as far as I know, there is nothing local. I think I might have to start something up on my own. ;) Rating: 5

Simon Grill ... can't say I do.
Glad to see you here
If we can get a small group of local folks together, a meeting with some local reps will worthwhile. It's a lot easier for a local group of us to schedule a meeting(s) than it was for MPP which isn't local to the area.
Reading some of the threads on the Reading Eagle forum these days is like reading this site LOL!

Regarding setting up a meeting with a local representrative, I'm very interested. I don't have much of a political background but I believe I could provide some excellent testimony based on the benefits I get from marijuana medically. I was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 18 (in 1982) and have since been declared disabled.
Because I don't work a regular job I probably have much more time available than most to be active in pro-weed endeavors. My latest kick has been attempting to educate as many mainstream type folks (like at ReadingEagle.com) of the numerous medical and socio-economic benefits of "freeing the weed". It's good to see how many ordinary people support legalization when given the opportunity to look at the prospect of it objectively without fear of being labeled a pot-head or being scrutinized.
Let me know if any job opportunities become available with Cannabis.com and Mari-Hemp, due to my very limited income (on Supplemental Security) I'm always looking to bolster my income while doing something that I believe in.
Also, if you find that my testimony regarding medical marijuana's effectiveness could be of use, please don't hesitate to contact me.
How did you get involved with administering these sites?

Wayne county, northeastern PA. There are deer and hunters all over the place here, too. A lot of outdoor growers say they eat cannabis plants and they are a real nusance. But I don't know because I don't grow (not for lack of trying, I just have a black thumb as opposed to a green one lol). And fencing in the plants to keep the deer away is like drawing a big target on them for any outsiders to find. I've heard of lots of ways to keep deer away but they all sound kind of hokey...anyway, I can't keep them away from a regular vegetable garden, either, oh well.

I'm right outside Reading, with all of the new housing developements popping up it's chasing the deer into everbody's back yard. What used to be corn fields are now condos and $250,000 homes. I'm right outside the city near a river and I get a lot of deer in my yard cause they come down to the river to drink a couple times a day. I stopped hunting about 20 years ago cause it's like a freakin' war zone out there. Last time I was out, there were bullets flying all around me so I said fuck this, not worth it. The meat sucks anyway, but the deer are a pleasure to watch. Maybe I'm turning into a fuddy-duddy, at 40? I saw your pic on the pic thread, very nice. I'm separated with a 4 year old daughter and a 7 year old son. How bout your kids? you have three right.

I saw something about your area on the news...I can't think of the name of the development, Lake something? Anyway, it said they might start poisoning deer soon because there are too many. I'm not sure how I feel about that. It's sad, that's for sure.
Yes, I have 3 kids. 8, 5, and a 20 month old baby. The oldest 2 are in school during the day but the little one stays home with me all day. When the oldest ones get home, there is nothing but chaos! lol
Sorry, it took a few days for me to post, I don't check this thread everyday.I'll check it more often now.

Hey MJ, been kinda busy myself lately.
Was it Lake Wynonna you heard about? There's always some kind of rif-raf with deer going on around these parts, usually they just let the hunters out after them if there's a population problem. I don't agree with poisoning them, it's kinda sick.
I know what you mean by the chaos, most nights it's a chore just getting everyone bathed and to bed. It barely leaves time for a nightcap. Our youngest is in her last year of preschool and they're talking about starting full day kindergarten next year. Right now she's only going to Pre on Tues. & Thurs., but she's a pleasure to be with the rest of the time. I think I'll miss being with her when she starts K-garten, I won't have a reason to watch Noggin, Lassie, and Nickelodeon anymore, bummer!
Where can I find some good avatars, I'm new at this stuff, and I'm getting tired of looking at the one I have - it's getting old already ... something with a weed theme.
