brain cell death alone as far as I know (and I do seem to know a lot) does not trigger such extreme hallucinations
Id just like to point out that brain cell death can cause you to trip. (I know thats not what causes the trips people have on computer duster.) I read that upon the death of brain cells, a brain cell killing amount of glutamate is released and the brain has to release some sort of glutamate receptor blocking chemical (which works like ketamine/pcp/dxm) in order to protect the neighboring cells from the chain reaction of brain cell death that would follow the release of glutamate.

Good research nullific, but nonetheless this is still an extremely dangerous thing to mess around with. On the news a kid in my city died from inhaling this in his bed, and his parents woke up the next morning to find their son dead. The chemicals in it is not what causes the "high", its the propellants in the can. And if you sprayed this shit in the wrong way frozen liquid will come out and give you frostbite in your throat/lungs etc. If you are looking for a cheap high, you'd probly we better off inhaling gas or paint or something. Just don't do this stuff.

right, right, right, there are MANY safer alternatives to inhalants, say, WEED? i mean, all the inhalants do is make you laugh and shit...well you can get that with marijuana, and it lasts a hella lot longer, 90 to 120 times longer if you wanna put a number on it

and if you have trouble getting weed, get dxm, or take 2 benadryls and take a nap or something

I don't think you know what that phrase means, so I'll explain it to you: it simply means that one can make a strong case or argument for DXM being a drug in the sense that it has a direct biochemical effect on the body. In other words, I agree with you: DXM is a drug, in my opinion.

Too many people bash it on here......mostly older folks....Mad cuz they're "peace and love" days are gone with the wind.

Well, I'm not happy about all the DXM talk that goes on around here - it's excessive, IMO. I've tried it myself and wasn't too impressed - not horrible, but neither was it something I'm very eager to repeat. It seems to be mostly harmless, however, at least in the short term according to the research I've done on it. So, the discussions about DXM can continue, for now.

continue for now, what about later? Dick posted an excellent FAQ,so yes, maybe alot of questions about DXM will decrease. That is if people read the sticky.Even then people will want to know more specifics.

On a side note, how many mg's did you ingest and why did you not enjoy it?

"For now" means I refuse to commit myself to a future position. I don't know what might change in the future, so I'm just covering my ass. Don't get all bent out of shape.

Well, like I said, it wasn't a bad experience - it was a kinda light and floaty feeling, mostly pleasant, really. But it just went on and on and I got tired of the feeling after a while and I just wanted it to end already. I had done 300 mg, I think. Maybe slightly more, I'm not completely sure. Definitely not more than 350. I probably didn't do enough for the really potent effects to take place from what I've read, but still, I'm not sure I'd want to go through that again.
