Did you just cook the butter and bud together? I only use leaf for butter and cook it slowly for 12 hours or so in a big pot - 6ozs of leaf, 2lb of butter and a couple of pints of water.

The water really helps, a lot of the herbal flavor is lost to the water while all the goodies remain in the butter. Strain and press well. When cool, refrigerate and the butter solidifies making it easy to seperate from the water (don't be tempted to keep the water ... it is really foul. But the cannabutter tastes beautiful.

I took my first stab at budbutter yesterday....came out a nice glowing green......So I decided to make some cookies......They taste like....uh....well not that great. Everyones telling they were made wrong....I say if you use bud in your cooking its going to taste like bud to some extent!!! I made oatmeal chip cookies......they look good...but the taste is kinda ......lets just say the term GOT MILK makes complete sense Rating: 5
