Did you just cook the butter and bud together? I only use leaf for butter and cook it slowly for 12 hours or so in a big pot - 6ozs of leaf, 2lb of butter and a couple of pints of water.

The water really helps, a lot of the herbal flavor is lost to the water while all the goodies remain in the butter. Strain and press well. When cool, refrigerate and the butter solidifies making it easy to seperate from the water (don't be tempted to keep the water ... it is really foul. But the cannabutter tastes beautiful.
