question about sprouted seeds

i have a few sprouts in 16 oz cups with holes in the bottom for drain...they are burryed in the dirt up to the rim so its hidden a bit more...moving on to the 3rd day question is how long is it normally after your good sprout breaks the dirt outside?...i have grown indoors so i didnt know if the hid lights make it go faster...... Hmmmm it could take up to 5 days for them to sprout through, hid lights wont make a difference to how long it takes till they sprout

I have planted loads of seeds this year. I put em in pots and kept em indoors on the window sill but as the sun moves over the course of the day i move the pots to another window where the sun shines through. Mine all came up within 4-6 days. I would say if they aint up in a week-9days then the aint gonna. Dont put em too far in the soil what I do is put a little soil in then as the plants grow top up the soil. then when you see fit repot.If not I plant the seeds in the big pots im gonna use and plant them just under the surface then drop them further and fyurther in the pot the more it grows.But be carefull with this way as its easy to get the rots and then it will die.If you only have 1 or 2 plants dont do it this way.
