Yep, that's how I am. Obeying traffic laws and not speed, when I smoke.
Cheery Cherry Reviewed by Cheery Cherry on . Smoking and Driving I love to drive when I am stoned and I'm pretty good at it. The only thing is, I take the scenic routes :p . I have friends who will not drive while smoking. How is your driving when high? Rating: 5

I drive when I'm high sometimes... It's no big deal I guess, I drive slower than I do when I'm sober but in reality, it does slow reaction time and probably shouldn't be done. Drunk driving is way WAY worse though and like I said earlier... I drive when I'm high too.

I used to enjoy it; sports cars (MG's) and motorcycles.

Then one day a jerk passing 3 or 4 cars in a row came at my girlfriend and I (she was driving that day) head on at about 70 plus, and ran us off the road; we could have easily been killed. Lucky that time. We stopped for coffee, to wait until the adrenaline wore off, and to reflect on violent death due to some asshole who was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Driving stoned lost all its appeal, once the realization hit that you need to be fully alert and in control driving, due to the carelessness of other drivers.

I have noticeably better reaction time than the other drivers on the road. As a quick for instance yesterday I was blazed out of my mind. A car was backing out of its driveway and couldn't see me or the car in front of me coming towards it. I had already moved over and slowed 10-15 mph when the driver in front of me swerved HARD. All my actions were smooth and controlled. I might have slower than normal reaction time, but... its still WELL within resonable limits. Now driving with sleep deprevation is scary as hell... I've never blacked out on weed, but try going 30+ hours without sleep and tell me you remember you commute home .

Anyways... yes I love driving stoned and I do it quite often. I do take the back roads, to avoid traffic, police and things being too "busy." I like driving through the woods/mountains and taking in the scenary. The highways and cities just don't do it for me.

i'm usually a pretty good driver when high. i find that alot of the time i am MORE alert when buzzed because i'm always looking out for cops and want to be on top of things if one should pop up anywhere. although, i seem to ALWAYS wig out when there's one riding my ass and i'm high. if i don't have the radio on loud, then i tend to daze out and find my hands twitching on the steering wheel causes me to slightly jerk about on the road.

I can drive just fine high, but I tend not too. I am an aggressive, performance oriented driver and I hit the track for drifting and autocross a lot with my car. I drive a million times better sober! I find when I am high my reaction time is actually a bit delayed and my sense of things is just a bit off. When I am driving back roads with lots of cornering, it's just much more fun when my mind is not distracted and I can give driving my 100% attention.
