Can u grow easily in a terrarium ?

If so how tall should it be ?
I ask this because one time i had visitors so i had to hide the plants i put them in with the frogs for a few days and no kidding they looked better than ever and grew quite a bit.Is it possible to grow from seeds in there ? because im thinking maybe u can if anyone knows anything about that would be good thanks.Is it that they looked greener and bigger because of the atmosphere in there like it has the same ecosystem as a tropical rainforest.Anyone ever tried it ?
