Thinking yourself out of a bad experience
There have been a lot of posts in here by new smokers and even some experienced ones recently about bad weed experiences. When I started smoking I used to experience these a lot and sometimes I still do. I've noticed that a lot of times these effects are all coming from my mind and I can think myself out of them and bring back a good enjoyable high, sort of like turning around a bad shroom or acid trip, but a lot less difficult. I just wanted to give some advice for people who have these problems so they can try what I've did and see if they can get the kick ass marijuana experience we all know and love.
A lot of all of these problems related back to paranoia, so this works best if your in a situation where there really isn't much real danger, and you don't have to be paranoid, because then it becomes easier to put it out of your head.
If your paranoid or really scared you body is going to get itself ready for action. Your pulse will go up, you might feel your heart beating in your chest. You're thoughts will start to race, and if you're like this for awhile it'll be working your body pretty good so it will probably be a little hard to breath. And all of those effects happen normally in those situations when you're sober. Like on a roller coaster, during a homicide, or when your transporting illegal aliens over the border and a cop pulls up behind you. But their amplified when your high, and it becomes all the more powerful and it can sometimes be overwhelming and scary. The best way to get yourself out of that is to not only try to consciously slow your body down, but also convince yourself you're safe. I mean we all know the facts about marijuana, we're not going to die, and it's not laced with anything (well it could be, but for the sake of conversation fuck it) so you're gonna be okay man. just chill, and you know just chill. That's all there is to it.

*claps* Yeah man thats what i do whenever im not having a good enough high. I light a cig and tell myself wtf am i being paraniod for? Theres oviously nothing bad thats going to happen so chill. Then i start playing sum muzic and strat dancing.

"its a fucking plant, it grows naturally. why the fuck am i scared?" worked every time since

When I first started I took 8 gravity bongs in a row which absolutley fried me to the point of not being able to move then I had a panic attack type thing and thought I was going to suffocate but I eventually managed to talk myself out of it and I never had a panic attack on weed since. So yeah convincing yourself you're alright does work.

the first time i smoked i didn't get paranoid at all than it gradually got worse from there but than i learned how to turn it around and now i rarely get paranoid.
also don't smoke unless you want to, smoking in tight situations gets you paranoid
here are things you can do:
1.first acknowledge that your excited and you are high and its just a lil weed and weed has never killed anybody
2. if you have eyedrops use them cause i know someone telling you your eyes are red can very easily make you paranoid.
3. go to an area that you consider to be safe, that is away from any real danger. for example i try to go to someones house or a park and only be around stoned people cause i get a lil nervous around sober people.
4.(this doesn't really help paranoia but i'll add it) look up and if you're with people engage in conversation i have realized everyone looking at the ground, not talking gets awfully suspicious.
5. think about someone you love. i think about a special girl and it helps a lot. also try thinking about food and how good its going to taste when you get some. also eating makes everything good again, duh.
6. don't think about you body or feel it if it hurts its very easy to convince yourself theres something wrong with your body when your high.
7. try not to feel guilty under rare circumstances about anything, let it go until your sober.
8. masturbation< works really good

Whenever i get paranoid when using weed (which is very rare) it's only for like 3 seconds because I forget about it and it goes away.

If your in a small group or on your own in a house and you feel bad, tidy the place up. Shit lying around plays on your mind if your paranoid, or can cause paranoia if your feeling bad anyway (Shit, I'm feeling sick and the house is a mess = panic). Obviously try to avoid trashing the place in the first place.
One thing that I always do now is if your rolling on a table, put a towel or something under it. This will catch anything you drop and if you need to hide it quickly, you don't need to pick up the joint and the hash and the lighter and the cigarette box and the skins and wipe off the tobacco/rocks, you just have to pick up the towel. This got me out of a lot of screw-ups.
Also, anything you don't need soon, put out of view, somewhere no one will look if they were to arrive suddenly.

First time i toked i was tripping like mad, i was literally hallucinating.. i dont know how, but i was.. it was crazy, i was hearing shit and my vision was tilted fora good 10 minutes. i was pretty scared so i layed on the nice cold grass, and stared into the night sky till it passed.
