Apologies in advance for the really short thread, but...
What's the use? Well, when you get threads like the 'everyone post pics of yourself' thread, which has hundreds and thousands of posts, it makes it easier to read because it devides it up in to pages of 100 posts each. Simple.
Edit: Didn't see your edit. lol. There is no 1-post-per-page setting.. I was joking.
