questions: new grower
so i decided i wanted to start growing and i need a couple of questions answered:
1) i now since im a new grower i prolly won't get great results. so i am wondering what is the best seed to start out with that will be fairly high yeilding and wont be to finicky about things.
2) i plan on using hydro as a means of growing. would this be better than soil? i plan on growing indoors. so i could care less if it is cheaper or more expensive. i at least want the better choice of the two.
3) i get alot of natural light in my room. could i grow a plant soley off of this for my first grow? will it yeild decently? or no? if i cant get a decent yeild for a first timer off of natural lighting what is the cheapest route to go with lighting?
4) what is the best way to germinate seeds? ive heard wet napkins will do the trick. is this true?
5) given that i can find a seed that is best suited for a noob grower such as myself what can i expect growth and harvest wise?
6) can you suggest any links to your personal favorite places to purchase growing equipment?
7) i wanna go through emery seeds is this one of the most reliable places?
8) ive posted in the want ads about seeds but im not getting very many hits so any one that has any seeds that they think that i might be able to handle i will pay for them if the price is right.
9) keeping in mind that i am a new grower what do i have to watch out for so i can avoid killing my plant?
10) what can i do to make my first grow a pleasant experience?
i am open to suggestions on anything related to growing. i have been spending some time every day for the past couple of days trying to soak in some information. some of the questions i found answers to but me being a new grower i needed some clear cut answers. any help will be much appreciated.

1#a good seed would be northern lights or blue berry
2#hydro is better than soil but alot more time consuming and alot harder to care for with ph and nutrients youll get more product with hydro
3#i doubt that will be enough light dont know your situation but you best bet is a HPS a little expensive but will go along way otherwise 2 4 foot double flourscents will be enough.
4#plant them straight into individual pots easier and you dont have to handle the seeds in the most delicate point in its life
5#all depends on what you put in if you use the HPS you will be in for a suprise but the flo's wont give you that great of results but if thats all you have it will work
6#your best bet is to get shit in town fuck the internet alot of shady people on it go with home depot or something
7#ive always gone with bag seeds seed banks freak me out(but i plan on gettin some seeds from a bank very soon) ha ha
8#fuck it go with bag seeds or a seed bank bro dont use the want ads
9# read the grow bible not enough room here to tell you all the shit you need to watch out for partner
10#HPS three simple words (worth it)
ITS NOT AN AMATURE GAME!!! Dont tell anyone about your [plants they will screw you over . Another thing continue readin for about a month then you will have all the info you need. Growing is hard dont expect to leave your garden unattended expecially with hydro

First thing you should do is to get a good book. I recommend a copy Jorge Cervantes book "Indoor Marijuana Horticulture the indoor Bible" you will use it as a reference for many years to come.

I probably won't be a great help, but...if you go to one of the threads that I started a couple of months ago, you might get a few answers to your questions. I wasn't willing to spend the time, money, or chance on High end seeds to start, so I used dirt seed. I used the paper towel method, scattered approx. 16-18 seeds in it and about 60% sprouted. They were then moved to water bottles that had been cut down to about 4 " tall w/ holes for drainage drilled in the bottom, and put under (1) one Comp Flour (24W) to see what would happen. At this point I was just playing around with it to see what would happen. The things started growing so fast that after about 2-3 weeks I had to pick about 8 of them (limited by pots available) to go farther. 4-5 Weeks they had been trimmed a couple of times and were getting to big for the area. Soooooo, I went into 12/12 (flower) and picked the first 3 females, luckily, I ended up with 5 of 8 as females, you can get the rest from the thread(s), I have been depending on several others for my info, as I know nothing about this stuff, and it has taken a good deal of time to find a lot of the information...GOOD LUCK !!
The Link below should take you to that thread...if not, go to member directory "T"s find Texastweeked "click" find all threads started by: "click" and then click bubbler question....the first one.

Hello there, welcome to our community newbbie, hahha, i have finished only one grow so far, all done with the help of the people here plus some research that i've done over the internet......let's see.....i would really love to tell you all the process start to finish BUT if you look into my profile you can see my posts i've made into this forum....start (well almost) to finish i documented the entire grow...indoors into soil....i see you are eager to grow some beautiful plants and if i may judge from the way you post your questions then i could say that you're not on a very tight budget considering that you want to grow first time ever and do that into hydro.....nice thought indeed, hydro gives out much more and much quicker than soil.....but i would suggest that you should grow into soil first for various reasons.....with soil you get the first taste in growing as there are many variables that affect the quality and quantity of the buds....since you say you have lots of sun in your room and you do not mind using that, i would suggest then, to fill the entire room with plants into pots, keep the windows open at all times for good air circulation and with the money that you would spend on the hydro setup get lots of 1 gallon pots, say 100, and 2-3 1000watt HPS lights.....sorry, maybe sounds crazy (i got stoned now) but if you feel that you can have the windows open at all times and be safe , then i see no reason why not to fill the entire room or a space of i.e 100 sqft .....other than that personally i would not try to use direct sunlight indoors as it would last less than i would need it and would anyway need HPS lights in order to complete the vegetation stage and maintain a strict lighting schedule to finish.....
cannabis needs a lot of light 40-50 watts/sqft, plenty co2, warm environment with relatively high humidity levels during vegetation and lower during flowering, needs good air circulation....for soil it's simpler than hydro as far as it concerns the nutrient levels as well....soil is much simpler, just mix 1/2 of recommended dose then build up to full strength, flush with water if overfert occurs and never overwater......growing with hydro is a new thing for me....i've read a lot prior to deciding and getting all the equipment needed....digital pH&EC waterproof testers, the full NFT system 4x3ft along with pumps, timers, nutrients for a year, rockwool etc.....also along with it i have 2x400watt HPS and i am thinking to get a third one as well.....i bought the seeds as well, standard this time....bought cheap feminised seeds the first time and got some seeds (a hermie somewhere,no big deal, some seeds for experimentations hehehehe).....be very cautious and wise to pick a good strain or even 4 as i did now....two indicas and two sativas.....good producers all around!!!!!
Do some research of your own, try www.overgrow.com for strains and much much more....
sorry for calling you a newbbie, i am not the expert here, just expressing my experience so far.....happy growing
