Your hearing from the right guy on this subject lol..........all I do is clone lol.....I have it down to a science both in veg and in flowering stage of taking cuttings(clones)

1. Can I do this?............... Yes you can! take clones in flowering cycle but it takes a much longer time to get the clones to root,if it takes 7 or 9 days in veg,may take up too 2 weeks or longer when cutting in flowering stage before they show roots, also depends on how far into the flowering .the further in the harder to root, but I still do it with minor difficulties's patients is the key! the only problem is seeing that your clones are sitting for a really long time waiting to root, you have alot more range for foil, green may completely leave ,mold can develop disease as well, you have to be alot more caring with flowering clones.....

2. Is it a good idea? .............why not! just more effort, more taking the lid off the dome, more spraying pritty much double the work compared to veg cuttings, but ya it's a good idea!...lol

3. Do I put the clones back into a flower cycle? .........well as you know your clones will need a 24 hour light cycle to stay strong and helps prevent wilting, but once they are rooted enough to hold their own water you can throw them right back into veg stage, until desirable size for flowering once again,or you can through them right into 12/12 cycle at just a few inch's high, good for sea of green, but if you want a full budded plant let her veg a few weeks before 12/12......

4. What will happen to the small buds that would already be on the clones? ..............Well you can kinda trim the buds down a bit if you like but not necessary!,make sure you leave enough leaves for breathing and light intake, the buds that are on the clone once put into cloning medium will eventually just kinda dry up and die! thats why I trim them a little, why not they are going to die any how,but trim the bud a little or not at all it's up to you, note:alot of the new growth from the clone will develop from the buds as well it's like branch's will grow once were the bud was...........

Note: when I said it is harder to clone from flowered plant, that is based on alot of strains but not all,I have a strain that roots well both in veg and flowering stage and both root around thew same time............I hope I helped.
