i no its a stupid question !! but how long do i stay on the 12/12 cycle ?? i hav no idea! help me out plz??

you start your 12/12 cycle when you wnat to force the plant into flowering.

you stay on the 12/12 cycle until you harvest.. some believe that going down to 10/14 for the last week also increases your yeild a bit.. personally, i've never tried it... i might.

you stay on 12/12 until you're done.. about 8 - 10 weeks depending on strain,grow technique, lights... etc.

I never heard of going to 10/14 for yield increase.

I have heard of that though for increasing resin production and increasing THC content.

thanks 4 that, i was confused cos i thought u went on 12/12 for a while then went back on to 20/4 my bad !

no no .. that would be a bad thing.. that would reinduce veg mode and probably give ya one big hermie

i've read many different reports on the benefits of going to 10/14.

personally i probably would only do it for the very last days before harvest.

My friend swears by the 10/14 for the last week (simulates shorter days at end of summer, and more resin is produced during the sleep phase -- so he says). And then for the last 2 days he leaves it in total darkness.

I'm going to try this on my last plant standing. Just went to 10/14 the other day.

You do the quick short light cycle at the start of flower. The idea slows the flowering process at first but by the end the buds are larger and denser. You stop feeding (N) the last 10-14 day's before you start to flush so the plant uses up the stored chlorophyll. That will improve the overall taste and quality.
